How did we get to know-how?
Building a house is more than a process of land, metal, concrete, and labor; it’s a journey into the client’s emotions, vision, and desires. Very few builders, like Diego and Mela of Idea, with over 9 years in the industry, understand this unique language.
The company’s initial growth led them to expand their services to a wider audience. However, this effort presented unforeseen challenges that reaffirmed their core values. The wealth of this experience was the learning: their product demands individualized attention per project, which is not compatible with handling a large number of simultaneous clients.
This lesson led Idea to reinvent itself, choosing to exclusively commit to selected clients to ensure the best possible service and maximum satisfaction. At Idea, the priority is client satisfaction. Therefore, when working with them, you do not pay fees, but rather invest in better ideas.
Established in 2014, perfecting since 2007
Founded in 2014 following the marriage of Diego Solís and Melania Castillo, our company relocated to the scenic coastal area of Osa shortly after. Since then, we have successfully helped countless visionaries from all around the world achieve their unique goals through a reliable, hassle-free, and secure process.
If experience is practical contact with and observation of facts or events, then we must account for the facts and events that Diego has learned through. He, the founder partner behind our technical tenets, son of an engineer, great son of a land surveyor, and artist by nature, has been developing commercial and residential construction projects since 2007, and all his accumulated experience will support your investment.

Diego Solís (Sr)

As a Co-founder of ideA Design with 26 years of experience in the construction industry, he actively participates from the initial client contact, determining the viability of the project.
Melania Castillo
General direction. Project management. Architectural design.
General direction. Finish selection. Design review:
As a Co-founder, Melania actively participates in the general management of the project. Resolving functional and aesthetic aspects is her specialty. She is actively involved in the design and selection of kitchen, bathroom, and closet furnishing, as well as other furniture, ceiling fans, lighting, and appliances. Mela also plays a key role in selecting and purchasing finishes materials, controlling the budget, and approving bank transfers.
Diego Solís Jr
Specialist in Communication and Business Development
In this role, Diego combines customer service responsibilities with bilingual communication tasks, such as researching new trends, generating creative product names, conducting socioeconomic and contextual analysis, as well as drafting content for the company’s website and social media.
Oscar Ramírez
Junior Architect.
Architectural design, drawing of plans, budgeting, and 3D modeling & rendering. Responsible for translating drafts and ideas from conceptual design and floor plans dictated by the founders of the company into clean designs. Oscar also contributes to the design process, draws up the construction plans for projects, and, with his knowledge of plans and materials, generates budgets. He also actively participates in field technical inspections to ensure that each line is constructed in the correct location.
